From WordPress to Astro
Mark has been writing on the internet for nearly 20 yrs. He started using WordPress in 2007, writing his own html and with a home made theme.
Pretty quickly he realized, while knows how to help teams, he doesn’t know how to design nice looking websites. In addition, anyone who has ever received an email from Mark will know he needs an editor.
In 2012 Heather started helping Mark with Operations and making sense of his writing.
In 2024, Mark started to use Markdown with Obsidian and other tools. Along the way he realized it was faster and easier to write and publish in Markdown than it ever was with Wordpress. Introducted to Astro by another member of the Agile community, Mark found his happy place. A website built from plain text with source control ensuring no changes ever get lost.
