I’ve never lined up to pay my restaurant bill but last Tuesday night at Chez Victor it was so busy that I had to.<

We arrived at 7pm without a reservation and had a few minutes wait for a table. After ordering our dinner and drink we had nearly an hour long wait for our food. During the wait Doris was hungrily eyeing my arm trying to decide if there was enough meat on it to make it worthwhile.

Well when our burgers finally arrived they were amazing – worth even an hour long wait. Doris had a veggie burger with spinach, brazil nuts and cheese. I had a fish burger with an excellent sauce. We’d both ordered our burgers with a ’side salad’ – but that doesn’t do them justice. They were almost a meal into themselves and nearly as good as the burgers.

We were seated next to the desert case and during our wait were fantasizing about which desert to eat. But by the time we finished our burgers and salads we were too stuffed to eat another bite.

A great meal in an excellent restaurant for a good price and all we had to was walk 10 minutes outside the walls of the old city on Rue St Jean Baptiste to 145.

Hopefully when you got it won’t be quite so busy.
